Meeting point and departure from Baños de Agua Santa
We will meet at the Turismo Ecuador 24 office for a welcome, registration, and completion of the required documents before starting the adventure.
Hotel pick-up within Baños de Agua Santa can also be arranged in advance by contacting Turismo Ecuador 24 management.
First Stop: Agoyán Waterfall (7 km – approximately 15 minutes)
Begin your journey along Ecuador’s famous Waterfalls Route, one of the most scenic experiences in Baños.
During the ride, enjoy spectacular mountain landscapes and visit the Agoyán Dam, where you can admire Agoyán Waterfall, as well as other beautiful waterfalls such as Culebrilla Waterfall and La Esperanza Waterfall.
The route continues through the traditional tunnels of the old road, surrounded by lush vegetation and small waterfalls along the way.
Second Stop: Pastaza River Tunnel and Viewpoint (2 additional km)
Continue along the old road that connected Baños with the Amazon region before modern tunnels were built. Today, this route is one of Ecuador’s most famous cycling paths.
Arrive at Rio Blanco, a natural area offering optional adventure activities such as:
- Glass bridge
- Tibetan bridge
- Bridge jump
- Zipline
- Extreme ball swing
(Activities have an additional cost of approximately USD 10–25 depending on the activity. Cash is recommended.)
Third Stop: Manto de la Novia Waterfall (15 km from Baños)
Visit the beautiful Manto de la Novia Waterfall, one of the most iconic attractions along the Waterfalls Route.
Visitors can choose to cross the river using the traditional tarabita cable car or walk to the viewpoint for amazing panoramic views.
Optional tarabita cost: USD 2 per person
(Cash recommended).
Continue the journey toward the impressive Pailón del Diablo Waterfall.
Fourth Stop: Pailón del Diablo Waterfall (17 km from Baños)
Arrive at Rio Verde, where visitors can leave the vehicle at nearby parking areas before starting the hike.
Parking cost: approximately USD 1
At the entrance of Pailón del Diablo, visitors can choose between two hiking options:
Long Trail:
Approximately 1 hour round trip, allowing visitors to get closer to the waterfall and experience its incredible power.
Short Trail:
Approximately 30 minutes round trip, offering beautiful views from the upper viewpoint.
Entrance fees:
- Daytime entrance: USD 3 per person
- Night Pailón del Diablo:
- Long trail: USD 5 per person
- Short trail: USD 4 per person

Return to Baños de Agua Santa
Return to Baños following the same route.
