TRAVEL POLICIES & TERMS AND CONDITIONS

These policies establish the terms and conditions that govern the booking and participation in our tourism services, including private tours, shared tours, travel packages, tourist transportation, adventure experiences, Amazon tours, Andes tours, and Galápagos trips.

By making a reservation and submitting any payment, the traveler agrees to these conditions and acknowledges that they have read and understood them.

1. TRAVELER RESPONSIBILITIES

The traveler is responsible for:

• Reading and accepting these policies before making a reservation.
• Providing accurate information regarding names, travel documents, flights, dietary restrictions, medical conditions, and special requirements.
• Following the schedules established for each activity.
• Respecting the instructions provided by guides, drivers, and local operators.
• Having all necessary travel documents.

Turismo Ecuador 24 will not be responsible for inconveniences caused by incorrect information provided by the traveler.

1. RESERVATIONS AND PAYMENTS

To confirm a reservation with Turismo Ecuador 24:

• A 50% deposit of the total service value is required to confirm availability.
• The remaining balance must be paid according to the conditions indicated in the invoice or booking confirmation.

Available payment methods will be provided by our sales team.

All payments must be made in United States Dollars (USD).

A reservation will only be considered confirmed once Turismo Ecuador 24 has received the required payment.

1. TRAVELER CANCELLATION POLICY

All cancellations must be requested in writing by email.

The following policies apply:

One-Day Tours:

• Cancellations made more than 72 hours before the tour: a possible refund may apply depending on administrative fees and third-party costs.
• Cancellations made less than 72 hours before the tour or no-shows: no refund will be provided.

Travel Packages, Private Tours, Amazon Tours, and Galápagos Trips:

• More than 60 days before travel:
  The deposit may be subject to administrative fees and the cancellation policies of external suppliers.
• Between 60 and 30 days before travel:
  Cancellation fees may apply depending on hotels, cruises, lodges, airlines, and operators involved.
• Less than 30 days before travel:
  No refund will be provided due to commitments already made with suppliers.

Payments made to third parties (hotels, cruises, lodges, airlines, and local operators) are subject to their own cancellation policies.

Turismo Ecuador 24 strongly recommends purchasing travel insurance with trip cancellation coverage.

1. CHANGES REQUESTED BY THE TRAVELER

Any modification requested after the reservation confirmation will be subject to:

• Availability.
• Rate changes.
• Penalties applied by external suppliers.

Changes to travel dates, number of passengers, hotels, or itineraries may generate additional costs.

1. CANCELLATION OR CHANGES BY TURISMO ECUADOR 24

Turismo Ecuador 24 reserves the right to modify an itinerary when necessary due to:

• Weather conditions.
• Traveler safety.
• Road closures.
• Volcanic activity.
• Government restrictions.
• Situations beyond our control.

In these cases, a similar alternative will be offered whenever possible.

Traveler safety will always be our highest priority.

1. ADVENTURE ACTIVITIES AND ASSUMPTION OF RISK

Ecuador offers unique adventure experiences such as rafting, canyoning, canopy, paragliding, bungee jumping, cycling, trekking, kayaking, and other outdoor activities.

The traveler acknowledges that these activities involve certain natural risks, including but not limited to:

• Changing weather conditions.
• Uneven terrain.
• Altitude and temperature changes.
• Water currents.
• Accidental falls.
• Injuries resulting from the activity itself.

Turismo Ecuador 24 works only with experienced operators and suppliers that follow safety standards.

Before participating in any adventure activity, the traveler agrees to follow the instructions of professional guides and properly use the safety equipment provided.

The traveler declares that they are physically fit to participate in the contracted activities and must inform Turismo Ecuador 24 in advance of any relevant medical condition.

Turismo Ecuador 24 will not be responsible for accidents caused by:

• Failure to follow safety instructions.
• Reckless behavior by the traveler.
• Voluntary participation in activities without guide authorization.
• Failure to disclose important medical information.

1. ECUADORIAN AMAZON TOURS

Trips to the Amazon rainforest may be affected by natural conditions such as:

• River levels.
• Heavy rainfall.
• Road conditions.
• Changes in wildlife sightings.
• Environmental restrictions.

The traveler understands that nature is unpredictable and that sightings of specific animals cannot be guaranteed.

Itineraries may be modified to ensure safety and improve the traveler’s experience.

Amazon lodges, Indigenous communities, and local operators may have their own policies and conditions.

1. GALÁPAGOS TOURS

Trips to the Galápagos Islands are subject to special regulations established by national authorities and authorized operators.

The traveler accepts that:

• Cruise itineraries may change due to weather conditions, sea conditions, or Galápagos National Park regulations.
• Availability of hotels, domestic flights, cruises, and activities depends on external suppliers.
• Cancellation policies from cruises, airlines, and operators may apply directly.

Turismo Ecuador 24 will act as a tourism advisor and provide assistance to travelers; however, we do not control decisions made by authorities, airlines, cruise companies, or external operators.

1. PRIVATE TOURIST TRANSPORTATION

Turismo Ecuador 24 provides tourist transportation with professional drivers.

The assigned vehicle type will depend on:

• Number of passengers.
• Availability.
• Type of service contracted.

Vehicles may differ from promotional photographs while maintaining appropriate comfort and safety standards.

Travelers must respect the following rules inside vehicles:

• No smoking.
• No illegal substances.
• Maintain respectful behavior.
• Take care of personal belongings.

Turismo Ecuador 24 is not responsible for personal items forgotten inside vehicles.

1. LUGGAGE AND PERSONAL BELONGINGS

Each traveler is responsible for their personal belongings throughout the trip.

We recommend:

• Keeping important documents with you.
• Using appropriate luggage for each destination.
• Avoiding carrying valuable items without insurance.

Turismo Ecuador 24 is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal belongings during the trip.

1. TRAVEL DOCUMENTS

It is the traveler’s responsibility to have:

• A valid passport.
• Visa when required.
• Required permits.
• Recommended travel insurance.
• Documents requested by immigration authorities.

Turismo Ecuador 24 will not be responsible if a passenger cannot travel due to incorrect, expired, or incomplete documentation.

1. TRAVEL INSURANCE

Turismo Ecuador 24 strongly recommends purchasing travel insurance that includes:

• International medical expenses.
• Accidents.
• Trip cancellation.
• Lost luggage.
• Medical evacuation.

Each traveler is responsible for choosing the appropriate coverage according to their needs.

1. FORCE MAJEURE

Turismo Ecuador 24 will not be responsible for partial or total failure to provide services caused by circumstances beyond our control, including:

• Earthquakes.
• Volcanic eruptions.
• Floods.
• Landslides.
• Pandemics.
• Social conflicts.
• Strikes.
• Government changes.
• Road closures.
• Extreme weather conditions.
• Public service failures.

In these situations, reasonable solutions will be sought to protect the traveler’s experience.

1. USE OF PHOTOGRAPHS AND VIDEOS

During tours, Turismo Ecuador 24 may take photographs and videos for promotional purposes, including:

• Social media.
• Website.
• Advertising materials.

If a traveler does not wish to appear in promotional material, they must notify Turismo Ecuador 24 in writing before or at the beginning of the service.

1. PERSONAL DATA PROTECTION

Turismo Ecuador 24 is committed to protecting the personal information provided by travelers.

Collected information may only be used for:

• Processing reservations.
• Coordinating services.
• Contacting travelers.
• Meeting legal and operational requirements.

We do not share personal information with third parties unless necessary for travel operations, such as hotels, operators, guides, transportation providers, or tourism suppliers.

1. RESPONSIBILITY OF EXTERNAL SUPPLIERS

Turismo Ecuador 24 works with independent suppliers such as:

• Hotels.
• Restaurants.
• Adventure operators.
• Amazon lodges.
• Galápagos cruises.
• Transportation providers.

Although we select reliable suppliers, we do not directly control their internal operations.

Each supplier will be responsible for its own services according to its terms and conditions.

1. ACCEPTANCE OF THESE POLICIES

By making a reservation and submitting payment to Turismo Ecuador 24, the traveler confirms that:

• They have read and accepted these policies.
• They understand the reservation and cancellation conditions.
• They accept the inherent risks associated with travel.
• They agree to follow safety rules.
