The ferry from Santa Cruz to Isabela connects Puerto Ayora with Puerto Villamil, the main settlement on Isabela Island. It is one of the most common ways for travelers to get around the inhabited Galapagos Islands.

The crossing takes approximately two hours, though the duration may vary depending on sea conditions. The Galapagos National Park notes that inter-island boat trips can take anywhere from two to three hours.

Currently, some operators list a 3:00 PM departure from Puerto Ayora, while other commercial services also show morning schedules. Therefore, the exact time should be confirmed for your specific travel date.
