Tour Description

Embark on an unforgettable journey into the heart of the Ecuadorian Amazon and discover the extraordinary beauty of Yasuní National Park, one of the most biodiverse regions on the planet. This 3-day, 2-night adventure combines wildlife encounters, cultural experiences, and immersive rainforest exploration.

Your journey begins in Puerto Francisco de Orellana (Coca), where you will travel by motorized canoe along the majestic Napo River to reach a remote eco-lodge deep within the Amazon rainforest. Along the way and throughout your stay, you'll be surrounded by spectacular landscapes and remarkable wildlife.

Explore pristine primary rainforest on guided nature walks, where you'll discover towering ancient trees, medicinal plants, colorful insects, and fascinating animal tracks. Paddle through the tranquil waters of Jatuncocha Lagoon, an ideal location for spotting toucans, macaws, kingfishers, monkeys, giant otters, and—if you're fortunate—the famous Amazon pink river dolphins.

A highlight of the journey is a visit to a local Kichwa community, where you'll learn about their ancestral traditions, watch the preparation of traditional cassava chicha, explore local handicrafts, and gain insight into their way of life in harmony with the rainforest.

Additional activities include birdwatching, traditional piranha fishing, a nighttime rainforest walk to observe frogs, insects, spiders, and other nocturnal wildlife, and opportunities to learn about the conservation efforts that protect this unique ecosystem.

Accompanied by experienced naturalist guides, this tour offers the perfect balance of adventure, wildlife observation, and cultural immersion. It is an ideal experience for nature lovers, photographers, birdwatchers, and anyone seeking an authentic Amazon adventure in one of the world's greatest natural treasures.

How to Get from Quito to El Coca

If you are staying in Quito, Ecuador's capital city, there are two convenient ways to reach Puerto Francisco de Orellana (El Coca), the gateway to the Ecuadorian Amazon and the starting point of your adventure.

Option 1: Flight (Recommended)

The fastest and most comfortable option is to take a 30-minute domestic flight from Quito to Puerto Francisco de Orellana, locally known as El Coca.

Upon arrival, our staff will meet you at El Coca Airport at 10:00 AM to begin your Amazon tour.

Option 2: Public Bus

You may also travel by overnight bus from Quito's main bus terminal to El Coca. We recommend departing the evening before, as the journey takes approximately 8 to 9 hours.

The following morning, our team will pick you up at 8:00 AM from the El Coca Bus Terminal. If you prefer, we can also arrange pickup from your hotel within the city of El Coca (optional service).

Important: Please contact the management team at Turismo Ecuador 24 before your trip to confirm pickup times and coordinate all arrival details.
