This is an open schedule from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM. We recommend departing at 9:00 AM or 10:00 AM for the best experience. (Please contact Turismo Ecuador 24 Management in advance to coordinate your preferred departure time.)
Location: Baños de Agua Santa – Baños to Río Verde Route – Tungurahua Province, Ecuador
Total Duration: Approximately 7 hours (bike ride with return to Baños by truck included)

Your adventure begins at the Turismo Ecuador 24 office, where our team will welcome you for registration and document verification.
Required Documents

Equipment Delivery
Before starting the tour, you will receive all the necessary equipment for a safe and enjoyable experience.
Your equipment includes:
- Mountain bike.
- Safety helmet.
- Chain and security lock.
- Printed route map.
Unlike the self-guided tour, a professional guide will accompany you throughout the entire adventure, providing assistance, local information, and ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience from beginning to end.
Safety Briefing
Before departure, your guide will provide a complete safety briefing, including bicycle operation, riding techniques, route information, and important recommendations.
Once everything is ready, the adventure begins.
Transfer to Casa del Arbol
A private vehicle will take the group from Baños to Casa del Arbol, approximately 30 minutes away.
This scenic drive allows you to reach one of the highest viewpoints in the area before beginning the downhill cycling adventure.
CASA DEL ARBOL
Scenic Ride Along Runtun Road
The cycling adventure begins along the beautiful Runtun Road, famous for its breathtaking panoramic views of Tungurahua Volcano, the surrounding Andes, and the city of Baños.
Along the route, you'll also have the opportunity to visit optional attractions including:
- Fantasias de Volar, home of the famous Giant Extreme Swing with over 70 meters of pendulum movement.
- Pasarela Diamante, an incredible 45-meter-long glass skywalk suspended approximately 1,000 meters above Baños.
These attractions have separate entrance fees.
Main Stop: Casa del Arbol
Altitude: Approximately 2,660 m (8,727 ft)
Entrance Fee: USD $1.
Visit the iconic Casa del Arbol, one of Ecuador's most famous tourist attractions and home to the legendary Swing at the End of the World.
Originally built as a seismic monitoring station for Tungurahua Volcano, Casa del Arbol offers spectacular panoramic views and incredible photography opportunities.
After exploring the site, begin your downhill cycling adventure toward the famous Waterfalls Route.
WATERFALLS ROUTE
First Stop: Agoyan Waterfall
Distance: 7 km (approximately 30 minutes)
Ride through one of Ecuador's most beautiful scenic roads while visiting:
- Agoyan Hydroelectric Dam
- Agoyan Waterfall
- Culebrilla Waterfall
- La Esperanza Waterfall
- Scenic tunnels surrounded by waterfalls
Second Stop: Pastaza River Viewpoint & Old Road
Additional Distance: 2 km (approximately 20 minutes)
Continue along the former highway, now transformed into a scenic cycling route overlooking the Pastaza River.
Upon arriving at Rio Blanco, you may enjoy optional adventure activities such as:
- Glass Bridge
- Tibetan Bridge
- Zipline
- Bridge Jumping
- Extreme Swing Ball
Optional Activities: USD $7 to $25 depending on the attraction. Cash is recommended.
Third Stop: Manto de la Novia
Distance: 15 km from Baños
Visit the beautiful Manto de la Novia, one of the most iconic waterfalls along the route.
Choose between:
- Crossing the river on the famous Tarabita Cable Car
- Walking to the scenic viewpoint
Tarabita Fee: USD $2.
Afterwards, continue cycling toward Pailon del Diablo.
Fourth Stop: Pailon del Diablo
Distance: 17 km from Baños
Visit the spectacular Pailon del Diablo, one of Ecuador's most famous waterfalls.
Visitors may choose between:
Long Trail
- Approximately 1 hour round trip.
- Takes you close to the base of the waterfall.
Short Trail
- Approximately 30 minutes round trip.
- Offers spectacular panoramic views.
Entrance Fee: USD $3.
Return to Baños
After visiting Pailon del Diablo, return to Baños by truck.
Travel Time: Approximately 40 minutes.
Relax while enjoying one final view of the waterfalls, rivers, tunnels, and mountain landscapes before returning to the Turismo Ecuador 24 office.
At the end of the tour, return your bicycle, helmet, chain, and lock.
