ITINERARY
DAY 1 – ARRIVAL IN GALÁPAGOS | SANTA CRUZ HIGHLANDS & CHARLES DARWIN RESEARCH STATION
Welcome to the Galápagos Islands!
Your flight arrives at Baltra Airport in the morning, where our guide will be waiting for you with a sign displaying your names.
After meeting your guide, you will take the airport bus to the Itabaca Channel, where you will cross the channel by public ferry to Santa Cruz Island.
From here, your private transportation will take you into the highlands of Santa Cruz.
Your first stop will be a private visit to the Santa Cruz Highlands, one of the best places in the Galápagos to observe giant tortoises in their natural habitat. These impressive animals roam freely through the lush highlands, searching for food and cooling off in muddy pools.
Accompanied by your guide, you will walk through the area while learning about the biology, behavior, and conservation of these iconic animals.
You will also have the opportunity to explore a lava tunnel, a fascinating reminder of the volcanic origins of the Galápagos.
Continue to the Charles Darwin Research Station, where you will learn about scientific research, conservation programs, and the protection of the Galápagos' unique species.
In the afternoon, enjoy free time in Puerto Ayora to explore local shops, purchase souvenirs, relax, or enjoy one of the town's restaurants.

DAY 2 – SANTA CRUZ | FULL-DAY ISLAND EXCURSION
Today you will enjoy a full-day boat excursion to one of the uninhabited islands surrounding Santa Cruz.
The destination depends on availability, navigation permits, sea conditions, and the authorized operation for your travel date.
BARTOLOMÉ
Famous for Pinnacle Rock, one of the most iconic landscapes in the Galápagos.
A trail with approximately 364 steps leads to a spectacular viewpoint overlooking the volcanic landscape and surrounding islands. Along the way, you can observe lava formations and dramatic volcanic scenery.
With some luck, you may also spot the Galápagos penguin.
After the land visit, enjoy time snorkeling in the surrounding waters.
NORTH SEYMOUR
An excellent destination for observing Galápagos birdlife.
You may encounter frigatebirds, blue-footed boobies, swallow-tailed gulls, and land iguanas, as well as spectacular volcanic landscapes.
SOUTH PLAZAS
A small but remarkably scenic island known for its concentration of wildlife.
You may observe sea lions, land iguanas, frigatebirds, lava gulls, and red-billed tropicbirds while walking along the island's trails.
SANTA FE
Known for its white-sand beach, sea lions, giant prickly-pear cacti, and excellent snorkeling opportunities.
Depending on conditions, you may encounter sharks, sea turtles, rays, sea lions, and tropical fish in its waters.
The excursion includes a guided walk and time for snorkeling, with lunch served on board.

DAY 3 – SANTA CRUZ → ISABELA | TORTOISE BREEDING CENTER & FLAMINGO LAGOON
After breakfast, you will take a morning speedboat to Isabela Island.
The journey takes approximately 2–2.5 hours and operates as a shared public service.
Upon arrival, you will meet your guide and begin a private walking tour through the wetlands and mangrove areas surrounding Puerto Villamil.
Your first visit will be the Isabela Tortoise Breeding Center, where you can observe giant tortoises at different stages of life, from young hatchlings to fully grown adults.
Your guide will explain the breeding, incubation, and conservation programs that help protect Isabela's different giant tortoise populations.
You will then continue walking toward the Flamingo Lagoon, one of the best places on the island to observe Galápagos flamingos and other wading birds.
The afternoon is free to relax and explore Puerto Villamil at your own pace.

DAY 4 – ISABELA | LOS TÚNELES & CABO ROSA OR SIERRA NEGRA VOLCANO
Today you can choose between two unforgettable experiences depending on your interests.
OPTION A – LOS TÚNELES & CABO ROSA
Travel by boat to Los Túneles, a spectacular volcanic landscape formed by ancient lava flows. Over time, the solidified lava created natural bridges, tunnels, and channels.
During the land visit, you may observe blue-footed boobies, marine iguanas, and other wildlife.
You will then continue to Cabo Rosa for an incredible snorkeling experience.
The waters around the tunnels are home to green sea turtles, white-tip reef sharks, rays, sea lions, tropical fish, and, with some luck, seahorses.

OPTION B – SIERRA NEGRA & VOLCÁN CHICO
If you prefer hiking and volcanic landscapes, choose the Sierra Negra and Volcán Chico excursion.
A guided hike takes you toward the summit of Sierra Negra, one of Isabela's active volcanoes, where you will enjoy spectacular views over its enormous caldera.
The hike continues toward Volcán Chico, where you will discover lava fields, volcanic cones, and dramatic landscapes created by ancient eruptions.
The scenery is remarkably otherworldly and offers a completely different perspective of the Galápagos.

DAY 5 – ISABELA | LAS TINTORERAS
Today you will explore Las Tintoreras, a small group of volcanic islets located just off Puerto Villamil.
A short boat ride takes you to the islets, where you will walk through rugged lava formations and observe large colonies of marine iguanas.
One of the highlights is a natural channel where white-tip reef sharks, locally known as tintoreras, often rest.
After the walk, you will have time to snorkel in the calm surrounding waters.
Depending on conditions, you may encounter white-tip reef sharks, sea lions, sea turtles, penguins, rays, and tropical fish.
After the excursion, enjoy free time in Puerto Villamil to relax, visit the beach, or explore the town.

DAY 6 – ISABELA → SANTA CRUZ | END OF THE PROGRAM
After breakfast, you will take an early morning speedboat from Isabela back to Santa Cruz.
The journey takes approximately 2–2.5 hours.
Upon arrival in Puerto Ayora, you will continue to Baltra Airport for your flight back to Quito or Guayaquil.
