Your adventure begins in Quito, Ecuador's capital city, exploring its historic center, the spectacular Basilica del Voto Nacional, the panoramic viewpoint of Virgin of Panecillo, and the famous Middle of the World Monument, where you can stand on the imaginary equatorial line.

Continue through the Ecuadorian Andes to discover Otavalo, home to one of South America's most famous indigenous markets, the beautiful Peguche Waterfall, and Cuicocha Crater Lake. Explore the impressive Cotopaxi National Park, home to one of the world's highest active volcanoes, and visit the breathtaking Quilotoa Lagoon, located inside a volcanic crater.

DAY 1 - QUITO - Historic Center - Basilica of the National Vow - Virgin of El Panesillo and Middle of the World

Our tour of Quito begins with a visit to one of the best-preserved historic Centers in South America.

We will visit the Basilica of the National Vow, where you can climb to its high domes.

We will then head to the El Panesillo viewpoint, an emblematic spot in the city, known for its beauty and the giant statue of the Winged Virgin.

Here you can admire a beautiful view of colonial and modern Quito.

We continue our tour to Middle of the World

From the Equatorial Monument, a painted line on the ground marks the imaginary line that divides the Earth's hemispheres.

DAY 2 - OTAVALO

Private departure for Otavalo to explore the most famous Artisan Market in South America.

Visit to Andean instrument workshops in Peguche.

Scenic hike around Cuicocha Lagoon.

DAY 3 - COTOPAXI

 

Arrival at Cotopaxi National Park. Entrance and registration at the park checkpoint.

Brief explanation of the páramo ecosystem, flora, fauna, and the volcano.

- Transfer by vehicle to the parking area (4,600 m). From there, the hike to the refuge begins.

- Hike to the José Rivas Refuge (4,864 m).

45-minute to 1-hour hike on sandy, high-altitude terrain. Free time to take photos and enjoy the scenery.

– Optional visit to the glacier (weather permitting)

Short climb from the refuge (approx. 20 minutes)

– Descent and Transfer to Quilotoa Lagoon

 

QUILOTOA LAGOON

We begin our tour at 9:00 AM. After a delicious breakfast, we will enjoy the Andean valley surrounded by volcanoes in the Andes mountain range.

 

We arrive in Latacunga, take the road towards Maná to Zumbahua, and ascend to Quilotoa Lagoon. We will climb 3,800 meters to the volcano's parking lot, which is 20 meters from the lake entrance.

We will take a 10-minute trek to the Shalala viewpoint, where you can take incredible photos with a spectacular backdrop of Quilotoa Lagoon and its indigenous communities. You can also observe the handicrafts they make and purchase them if you wish.

 DAY 4 - BAÑOS DE AGUA SANTA

Waterfall Route

On this route, you will see the Agoyán Dam, Agoyán Waterfall, Culebrilla Waterfall, and La Esperanza Waterfall. You will travel through tunnels bathed by cascading waterfalls, following the old road before the tunnels were built, which is now a bike path.

We arrive at Río Blanco, where you will find the glass bridge, the Tibetan bridge, and adventure sports such as Salto del Puente (Bridge Jump), canopy tours, the extreme ball ride, and the cable car to Manto de la Novia (Bride's Veil). Continue your journey to Pailón del Diablo Island.

 

At the entrance to Pailón del Diablo waterfall, you will find two options: the long 20-minute hike to the waterfall or the short 5-minute hike, which allows you to view the waterfall from above. Our tour begins at 9:00 AM. Along this route, you'll see the Agoyán Dam, Agoyán Waterfall, Culebrilla Waterfall, and La Esperanza Waterfall. You'll travel through tunnels bathed by cascading waterfalls, following the old road that was built before the tunnels were constructed; today it's a bike path.

We arrive at Río Blanco, where you'll find the glass bridge, the Tibetan bridge, and adventure sports such as (Bridge Jump $20, Canopy $10, Extreme Ball $10, and the cable car $2 to the Bride's Veil waterfall). These are optional activities. We then continue our journey to the Devil's Cauldron Island.

 

At the entrance to the Pailón del Diablo waterfall, you will take a 15-minute walk and be able to observe the imposing Pailón del Diablo waterfall.

 

Treehouse

The route to the Treehouse is a viewpoint offering an excellent view of the imposing Tungurahua volcano. It is one of the most visited tourist destinations and has been modified to ensure visitor safety. It is a beautiful attraction.

On this route, you can also visit Fantasías de Volar (Flying Fantasies), which offers a super hyper mega extreme swing, more than 70 meters long, followed by Pasarela Diamante (Diamond Walkway), a 45-meter-long glass platform located 1000 meters above the city of Baños de Agua Santa.

We continue to the Treehouse, which is one of the most visited tourist destinations. It has been modified to ensure visitor safety and is a beautiful tourist attraction. From here, you can see the majesty of the Tungurahua volcano.

DAY 5 - PUYO

 

Transfer to Puyo

The tour will last 1 hour and 30 minutes in our private vehicle. Along the way, you'll be able to see the Waterfall Route.

- Visit to the Mira Mera viewpoint

Our first stop will be the Mira Mera viewpoint, named after the canton, which will welcome you to the Amazon region.

 

- Typical Amazonian lunch (optional)

We continue the tour by canoe for 20 minutes until we reach the spot where we'll enjoy a delicious lunch to recharge our energy. We have four options to choose from:

• Chicken

• Beef

• Maito de Pescado (Fish wrapped in leaves and cooked over coals)

• Vegetables

 

- Guided hike through the tropical rainforest

In the afternoon, we'll have a 1-hour hike through the jungle. Our expert guide will provide information about Amazonian plants and trees until we reach the Hola Vida waterfall, where you can swim and enjoy its crystal-clear waters.

- Visit to a local Kichwa community

Our next stop is the indigenous community of Coto Cocha. They will share a traditional dance with us, demonstrate the use of the blowgun, and visit their museum, where you can purchase handicrafts if you wish.

- Visit to the Indichuris viewpoint

We will travel to the Indichuris viewpoint, where you will witness a beautiful sunset surrounded by vines, hammocks, swings, the rainforest, and the imposing Pastaza River in the background.

- Process of Organic Ecuadorian Chocolate

We will conclude our tour by visiting a local home and participating in the production of organic chocolate, before returning to Baños de Agua Santa.

DAY 6 - TRANSFER TO CUENCA

On the way, we will be able to see the Devil's Nose.


 

DAY 7 - CUENCA

Guided tour of the two cathedrals (includes the crypts, internal areas, terrace of the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, etc.). Ingapirca is the most important pre-Columbian archaeological site in Ecuador. Located in the province of Cañar, this site houses the best-preserved Inca architectural complex in the country.


 

DAY 8 CAJAS NATIONAL PARK AND RETURN TO QUITO

We will visit Cajas National Park, one of the most impressive natural areas in the southern Andes of Ecuador, known for its high páramo landscape, more than 230 glacial lakes, and its great ecological, cultural, and hydrological value.
