Chiles Volcano, located in Carchi province, is one of the most spectacular mountains on the Ecuador-Colombia border. Standing at 4,748 meters (15,577 ft) above sea level, this volcano offers a challenging yet rewarding hike with stunning views of the Andes and the opportunity to relax in natural hot springs.
How to Get There
The trailhead is near Tufiño, a small town about 30 km from Tulcán. From there, visitors can drive to the Chiles Hot Springs, where the hike begins.

The Chiles Volcano Trail covers approximately 10 to 12 km (round trip) and takes 6 to 8 hours to complete. Along the way, hikers will experience:
