DAY 1 QUITO - HISTORIC CENTER OF QUITO - VIRGIN OF PANESILLO - BASILICO DEL VOTO NACIONAL

Begin our adventure in Quito with a tour of one of the best-preserved historic centers in South America.

We will visit the Basilica of the National Vow, where you can climb its soaring domes.

We will head to the Panecillo viewpoint, an iconic landmark in the city, known for its beauty and the giant statue of the Winged Virgin. Here you can admire a beautiful view of colonial and modern Quito.

 

MIDDLE OF THE WORLD AND THE CABLE CAR

Continuing our tour, we'll head to a natural setting. The Equatorial Monument stands at latitude 0º0'0". Thanks to its quadrangular-pyramidal shape with four monoliths located at its corners, this obelisk marks the geographical orientation of the four cardinal points.

From the Equatorial Monument, a line painted on the ground begins, representing the imaginary line dividing the Earth's hemispheres.

Admission to the complex is included, and here you can experience experiences that defy the laws of physics and that only happen in this part of the world.

CABLE CAR

With an 18-minute ride, you'll contemplate the city of Quito from the cabins of the Cable Car, arriving at the base where you can participate in various activities according to your tastes and preferences. Just a few minutes from the city, you can witness and experience a truly magical and incomparable place.

 

DAY 2 OTAVALO

After After a delicious breakfast, you will head to Otavalo, a place known for the Poncho Market, very popular in this city. Here you can see the crafts of this community. We will continue to Peguche Waterfall and take a 15-minute hike to the waterfall, where you can appreciate the nature this place offers.

DAY 3 QUILOTOA - Transfer to Banos

Crossing the páramo, we will reach the foothills of the Cotopaxi Volcano, trekking to the second refuge.

We will continue the tour to Quilotoa Lagoon. After a short hike, we will arrive at the Quilotoa viewpoint, from where we will get a breathtaking panoramic view of Quilotoa Lagoon, one of the most beautiful volcanic lagoons in the world.

We will have some free time for lunch on your own before heading to the city of Baños. We will conclude the excursion around 7:00 PM.

DAY 4 BAÑOS DE AGUA SANTA

Waterfalls Route, Devil's Pailón

Our tour begins at 9:30 am. On this route, you'll see the Agoyán Dam, Agoyán Waterfall, Culebrilla Waterfall, and La Esperanza Waterfall. You'll travel through tunnels filled with waterfalls. We'll follow the old road before the tunnels existed; today, it's a bike path.

 

Casa del Arbol – Fantasies of Flying and Diamante Footbridge

We continue our tour to La Casa del Arbol in Baños, Ecuador. It's one of Ecuador's most visited tourist destinations, a viewpoint where you can get an excellent view of the imposing Tungurahua volcano.

Here, you can visit Fantasies of Flying, which offers a super-extreme swing (super-hyper-mega-extreme swing for $10). OPTIONAL ACTIVITY: Over 70 meters of pendulum swing, with an incredible view of the city of Baños de Agua Santa, from this beautiful attraction. Diamante Walkway, a glass walkway, will undoubtedly offer the best view of the city from this point.

You can enjoy the hot springs at night (OPTIONAL).

 

DAY 5 ADVENTURE SPORTS IN BAÑOS

Free day or adventure sport of your choice:

Rafting, Canyoning, Canopy, Horseback Riding, Bridge Jumping

DAY 6 CHIMBORAZO VOLCANO TREKKING

We begin the tour at 9:00 a.m. at the agency where the meeting point will be.

On this tour, you will walk the volcanic rock trails from the Carrel Refuge (4,850 m) to the Whymper Refuge (5,050 m), to admire the landscapes of Ecuador's majestic highest volcano.

We will take a short hike through the Cóndor Cocha lagoon (5,100 m), at an easy level, accompanied by a professional guide.

The tour includes lunch at the Chimborazo Volcano refuge and an entry permit to the Reserve. Chimborazo, private transportation from the city of Baños

DAY 7 FULL DAY IN THE JUNGLE

To begin our adventure, the meeting point is at our office at 9 am. The tour will take place in our private vehicle, along the way, where you can see the Waterfalls Route.

Our first stop will be the Mira Mera viewpoint, named after the canton that welcomes you to the Amazon region.

We continue the canoe trip for 20 minutes until we reach the place where we will enjoy a delicious lunch. To recharge our batteries, we have four options:

In the afternoon, we'll take a 1-hour hike through the jungle. Our expert guide will provide information about Amazonian plants and trees until we reach the Hola Vida waterfall, where you can swim and enjoy its crystal-clear waters.

Our next stop is to visit the Coto Cocha indigenous community. They will share a traditional dance, teach us how to use a blowgun, and visit their museum, where they display their handicrafts. You can purchase them if you wish.

We then head to the Indichuris viewpoint, where you'll witness a beautiful sunset surrounded by vines, hammocks, swings, the jungle, and the mighty Pastaza River in the background.

We'll conclude our tour by visiting a local home where we'll participate in the making of organic chocolate. We'll then return to Baños de Agua Santa.

Guided tour of the 2 Cathedrals (including the crypts, internal areas, terrace of the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, etc.)

Excursion to the charming ruins of Pumapungo

DAY 10 CUENCA

We begin the tour at 9 a.m. to Ingapirca, the most important pre-Columbian archaeological site in Ecuador. This site, located in the Cañar province, houses the best-preserved Inca architectural complex in the country.

 

DAY 11 TRANSFER TO QUITO

DAY 12 FLY AND GREETING AT BALTRA AIRPORT IN GALAPAGOS

Arrival in Santa Cruz – Highlands

DAY 14 SAILING TO ISABELA ISLAND + CONCHA DE PERLA

DAY 15 SIERRA NEGRA VOLCANO + TINTORERAS

Hike to Sierra Negra Volcano (one of the largest craters in the world)

Afternoon at Tintoreras Islet: blue-footed boobies, white-tip sharks. Free time.

DAY 16 RETURN TO SANTA CRUZ + FREE AFTERNOON

Sail back to Santa Cruz
